GAUDI THE MAGNIFICENT

I have been been excited to see Gaudi's SAGRADA FAMILA ever since we

first started planning our trip to Barcelona months ago.  Finally seeing it in

Person did not disappoint and was a thrill.

It is a work in progress and will be for years to come.  I won't give

You a lot of history here but do encourage you to read about it.

Gaudi had a vision that is very inspiring and for me it is the 

Most spectacular piece of art I have seen.

We went inside and took a elevator up the tower

To get a view of the city.

Once in the cathedral it is breath taking wonder.

These columns extend up and breach out like a tree.

The altar has this very unusual hanging Jesus on the cross.

Incredible stain glass through out the cathedral.

The floor below the cathedral is another church 

Where Gaudi is buried.

It also has elements of humor.  I loved this

Turtle holding up the pillar.

The simplicity of this cross made a big impact.

But man does not create......he discovers.
