If you live in Southern California you must discover
ROLLING GREENSin Culver City.  Off of the
beaten path there are eight greenhouses that
cover four terraced levels on two acres of hillside.
They have established themselves as the
area's predominant live plant nursery

for professional landscapers, landscape architects,
production designers, event planners and in-
the-know home gardeners.

The extent of the variety  of plants is amazing in all categories.  The orchids are breath taking

topiaries in all sizes and shapes

You can discover a vast assortment of
containers imported from all over the world
in every shape, color and material

A series of enclosed warehouses holds ten
thousand square feet of antiques, found objects,
fountains and decorative accessories

Another fun feature at ROLLING GREENS is
their Arrangement Bar, where customers
collaborate with the "Baristas" to create
unique living plant arrangements

and if your lucky you will run into little SOPHIE

This is where you need to go and bring
them out of hiding.

It was a nice surprise to see a glimpse of what is
to come from BARREVELD  for spring.
One of my favorite collections is this furniture

done in a distressed white wood finish.
I thought it looked very authentic vintage
and did not have a manufactured look

I love things that have more than once use
like this convertible bench/table
a trunk also has many uses
the distressed wood finish is combined with an iron
lattice to make a nice look for these planters
This antique grey wood etegere would be a
fabulous display piece in the middle of
a store, to give access from all sides.  The
shelves are spaced well to accommodate
merchandise of all sizes.
round wood and iron bistro table
antique finish iron chair
this also has a authentic vintage look
Antique zinc finished garden cart
antique finished hanging bird feeder
this aged brass finished bird cage
would look great sitting next to this aged brass bench
This pair of rustic round benches would be
a nice garden addition with or without a tree
in its center
Distressed glass mirrored chest of drawers
is a nice change from all the wood

Now we need some things for the wall,
aged brass finished deco non functioning clock
This decorative wood door panel would make
a nice center piece  for a headboard
Silver and copper foiled blossom mirror
and a starburst wood mirror with the same
foil accent
and a more simple version of the foil mirror
There is not a lack of great accessories
like these large multi purpose jars

The glass bottom of this lamp lifts off the
base so it can be filled with treasures
Now that we are approaching the end of the
year it is nice to know we have nice things
to look forward to.  As I have seen at the
High Point Show from BARREVELD

One of my favorite new items from

AIDAN GRAY HOME  is this Giovanna Day Sofa

Down blend cushions and stonewashed hemp

fabric inspires lazy afternoons and long

cups of coffee on this sofa.

A speckled grey hand done finish and meticulous

detail make this peace very special.  It has the

burlap woven fabric on both ends that we

have seen on a couple other pieces,

 which adds to its uniqueness.

Here is another piece that calls for some

relaxing time.  The Havanna Lounger has a cane

back and down blended cushions with white

tumbled wash fabric and burlap on the outside.

This split settee allows for several stylish options.

Position it together,

apart, even in separate rooms.  The tufted back

is accented with weathered nail heads on soft

stonewashed hemp.  This makes for an instant classic.

I was happy to see the different variations

on the reclaimed wood storage box

with the tufted burlap seat.

A larger one that would make a great

foot stool or additional seating

This nested trio is also available without the numbers

loved this one with wheels, I envisioned it

for store display stuffed with pillows

The Olivier footstool is burlap with nice detail

It has a slipcover option in white hemp, the

wheels are a nice touch

Lighting is a large category and there are some

nice new lamps, this one has a fun added feature

it's wearing a necklace, this is a nice idea
for your other lamps, raid your jewelry box

and see what you can come up with

nice combination of wood and metal

with a matching chandelier

This is a very pretty chandelier with nice metal work

This one has a diameter of 42" for that

that area that calls for drama

a nice simple rustic pendant for a more

casual space

This is a taste of what is to come in the

next couple of months.  Aidan Gray Home

has more surprise to tempt you.
