I thought I would do something fun

today and share some of my favorite

travel pictures

He was much friendly than he looked, our little

friend from Milan

I was afraid this little guy in Venice was going

to get stepped on

the cats in Italy are so gorgeous

would have loved to bring this one home

He was saying good bye as we departed Tuscany

This man in  Palarmo had many mouths to feed

How could you say no to this

We watched this guy in Brussels and

never figured out what he was looking for, but

he sure was cute

Everyone should take a nap in the

hot sun of Amsterdam

same goes for Chile

This big guy is just a puppy who was

very fond of John

no modesty on the streets of Buenos Aires

just make yourself at home

the dog walkers in Buenos Aires are very

this little face was enough to melt my heart
in Patagonia

Animals are such agreeable friends: they ask
no questions, pass no criticisms.

Spring is just around the corner I am happy to say.

I think we all could use a little sunshine

in our lives these days.

So sun means more time outdoors and with

more time outdoors we need someplace to sit.

has the classic bistro table and chair

how fun to do a mix of colors

or be really adventuresome and do

a bulls eye, also fun for a kids room

something nice around the pool

or in the garden

has this great folding bench

that would work in most gardens

also good to display a large assortment
of pillows

This is just the start of spring......

is a store in West Los Angeles
which specializes in full service design and
offers everything for the home

kitchen and dinning room

a large part of the business is their design work

the store does not lack for inspiration

A fun surprise in this store is that it opens
up to a womens clothing store

a really good marriage of taste, personalities
and compatability.

they both have a good customer base that
has now become one

a very nice atmosphere, casual but

Great location helps make for a good party.

wanted to launch their new issue which features
Hollywood Gardens.
No better place than
new store in the heart of Hollywood.

You know them for the long time sprawling
nursery in Culver City.

They have added a second location and accomplished
a great remodel, this was a long
time tire store, wonderful brick building with
big roll up doors that open up to a great canvas.

They have divided the space into distinct retail areas.

There is nothing as nice as driving North from
Los Angeles on a nice day.  There are so many fabulous views it is hard to keep your mind on the road.
I was headed to Carpinteria to visit  PORCH, which
is about 75 miles from Los Angeles
and a little south of Santa Barbara. This store
is one of those great remodels, they took
a bank  and turned it into a wonderful retail space.

wide open space with high ceilings
and lots of windows to let in the light

The store reflects the indoor/outdoor lifestyle
that we so love in Southern California

blend of contemporary with classic
Mediterranean styling

with the high ceiling and open space it
lends itself to show large objects

They have a nice mix of furniture,
tabletop, textiles, gifts and plants.

and I love the touch of whimsy

the one thing that remains from the bank is
the vault, it makes a good space for special
art exhibits, showing off local artists
