AIDAN GRAY AT HIGH POINT

I have not been to High Point Furniture Show in

a couple of years and I was happy to go back.  I

thought the energy level was high and the traffic

in the isles was good.  AIDAN GRAY HOME

previewed a large portion of their fall collection.

Chairs had a big presence and they looked great.

This Eli side chair is a traditional wing back

updated with a slightly exaggerated silhouette.  Here

it is shown with a solid grey linen with a striped back.

This chair like some of the others are available

in three different fabrics plus a two slip cover

options.  This is a white linen slip cover

over a textured dark linen

and it has a matching armchair

The Pascal arm chair is a sleek profile in a

textured weave of dark linen fabric, it has

a very unique look and has a side chair companion

The Portia Chair has a beautiful silhouette with

a soft white tumbled wash fabric

but it has a surprise in the side and back with

stripes of hemp woven and placed to highlight

the inner workings of this frame, great detail

The Ethan chair has been a staple in the collection

and it has been updated in several different ways.

Here it has a distressed black leather with brown

undertones upholstery and white crackle finish

with silver nail heads

The unexpected painted back of this Ethan chair

emulates a laid back style

with a firm textured weave dark linen seat

This Ethan is a perfect chair for casual elegance,

with a durable stonewashed hemp fabric that

covers the base and backrest with a hemp down

blend cushion on the seat.

and you can add a soft white slipcover on the

back for a more casual look
I really liked this cute curved back Mary Elizabeth

chair with a the soft white fabric and the chipped

grey finish was a nice contrast

but the best part is the backrest with the woven

strips of burlap on the back

I made a point to sit in each of these chairs

and was happy with the way they sat.

I will be showing you more of High Point in

the next few days.

DK LIVING

One of the big strengths of DK LIVING  is their

lighting, especially when it come to chandeliers.

There is a large range of styles and sizes.

This stunning piece measures four and a half feet long.

This dramatic piece is a close second at four feet.

It is metal draped in a silver chain curtain.

This one has a horn motif out of aluminum

with a matching sconce

I like the way they showcased these very contemporary

designs in the wood crates and hung them on

the wall.  It was a very nice contras of the rough

with the slick.

There are several different versions of the see

through shade, this one using a voile fabric

smoke colored shade with hanging baubles

mirrored shade with hanging crystals

pendant lamp with a stainless steel shade

These are a little less contemporary and verge

on a more transitional look

If your taste goes for the more simple this

metal spoke cone pendant might be just the answer

another pendant in the shape of a cone has

amber glass beads and measures 30 "

with a matching 30" cone wall sconce

These iron cylinder pendants work well together

and there is a coordinating sphere floor lamp

DK LIVING will be showing in High Point

next week on the ground floor of the IHFC

building in Inner Hall

ATLANTA-AIDAN GRAY

This is a company that has been growing in

leaps and bounds in the last few years.  Recycled

sheet metal plated in zinc was shown in a collection

of office organizers for a new look by

AIDAN GRAY , inspired by antique well pulleys.

Works well for home office or kids room

Stencil numbers add to the look, both small

and large

Petite lamps were designed for bookshelves,

powder rooms, or small cabinets in mind

In keeping with this quaint style, small accessories

naturally followed.  Inspiration has come from

the Victorian Era, to historical churches.

AIDAN GRAY has a lot to offer in many categories

Lamps and sconces

Chairs come in many sizes and shapes with

the accent of pillows

nice way to show pillows

A nice mix of furniture and accessories
