THERE IS A LOT TO LIKE

I met Brooke Giannetti when she first opened her

store GIANNETTI HOME and she has proved to be

an inspiration to me and many others ever since.

When you walk into the showroom it is easy to see

her love of antiques, beautiful fabrics and classic design.

infused with a bit of whimsy

Brooke is a fan of AIDAN GRAY HOME  and it

shows very well in her showroom

either a large chandelier

or this sweet four light chandelier

perfectly placed lamp

Brooke has a attention to detail and sense of style

that is evident every where you look

You can also find fun accessory pieces for yourself

or to give as gifts.

I could spend hours looking through her collection

of design books

birdcages are a welcome accessory with or without the bird

I am very partial to this light ficture from

the JUNKGIRLS  made from a aged patina Victrola

and works so well in this space

I started this blog by saying that Brooke has inspired

me and part of that inspiration has lead to my starting

this blog.  She introduced me to blogging by showing

me VELVET AND LINEN

The most beautiful thing in the world is, precisely,
theconjuntion of learning and inspiration.
Oh,the passion for research and the
 joy of disovery.

ATLANTA-BARREVELD

I took so many pictures at the BARREVELD

showroom I have had a hard time knowing where

to start.  I have decided to break it up into

categories, since the line covers so many areas.

FURNITURE

These pieces are mango wood upholstered in

a natural linen fabric.  They coordinate both with

with the color of the finish and the color of the linen.

these chairs, table and bench are part of the same collection.

The same mango wood done in a country white

finish

wood framed farm chair with jute upholstery

combined with a antique reproduction

wood ice box

matching mango wood wine cabinet.

little accent chest of wood and zinc has

many uses in all areas of the house.

DECORATIVE ACCESSORIES

Beautiful frosted antiqued ridged glass in a smoke color

this gold version also has the beautiful bowl

vases and votives in a frosted turquoise

lilac/purple are big colors for fall

great shapes in antiqued silver combined with

venetian mirror frames are always in style

cut crystal canister, cake stand and cover

and one of many styles of cloches, the classic

bell jar

slim bell jar

I like this square version on the wire pedestal

round and square deco wire cloche on wood pedestals

these willow pieces have been in the

line for a while but remain very popular

silver and copper finials would be great on a mantel

There are some pieces that could be either

for the house or considered garden,

my favorites are the 61 inch and 53 inch copper

finial and 39 inch copper column/pedestal

this deco bowl would be a beautiful holiday

center piece

outdoors they would weather to a beautiful

green patina

I could see these large terracotta statues indoors

or they would be a stand out in the garden.

polyresin finials sitting on a distressed

metal table with a mirrored top

this lamp shade and base are made from oak.

I will leave holiday and garden for an upcoming blog.
