Spring is just around the corner I am happy to say.

I think we all could use a little sunshine

in our lives these days.

the store does not lack for inspiration

A fun surprise in this store is that it opens

up to a womens clothing store

SEQUIN

a really good marriage of taste, personalities

and compatability. 

they both have a good customer base that

has now become one

Garden Design Magazine

wanted to launch their new issue which features

Hollywood Gardens.

No better place than
 ROLLING GREEN'S
new store in the heart of Hollywood.

 

You know them for the long time sprawling

nursery in Culver City.

They have added a second location and accomplished

a great remodel, this was a long

time tire store, wonderful brick building with

big roll up doors that open up to a great canvas.

They have divided the space into distinct retail areas.

DRIVING NORTH

There is nothing as nice as driving North from

Los Angeles on a nice day.  There are so many fabulous views it is hard to keep your mind on the road.
 I was headed to Carpinteria to visit  PORCH, which
is about 75 miles from Los Angeles

and a little south of Santa Barbara. This store
 is one of those great remodels, they took

a bank  and turned it into a wonderful retail space.

The store reflects the indoor/outdoor lifestyle

that we so love in Southern California

blend of contemporary with classic

Mediterranean styling

with the high ceiling and open space it

lends itself to show large objects

They have a nice mix of furniture,

tabletop, textiles, gifts and plants.

and I love the touch of whimsy

the one thing that remains from the bank is

the vault, it makes a good space for special

art exhibits, showing off local artists

VISITING CUSTOMERS

I went to Costa Mesa and went to see

Feathers Home and Garden

Lori combines a retail store of furniture and

accessories with a full scale design service.

With the store she has the ability of pulling from

her inventory to fill the needs of her clients.

She has made good use of product to show off

SCENTS AND FEEL

This entire look could be transported to someones house

without changing a thing.

coffee table, ottoman has many great uses in

the home as well as a great dislay piece.

You can never have enough votives, in the store to

sell or in the home.  It creates a mood of romance,

warmth for holiday as well as every day.
